Inverclyde Globetrotters Walking Network is a partnership between Your Voice, Inverclyde HSCP, NHS GGC, Paths for All and Inverclyde Globetrotters. Through this project we promote the benefits of physical activity by getting local people more active and encouraging them to take part in local Health Walks. IT STARTS WITH HELLO!
The Inverclyde Walking Network project arose from Inverclyde HSCPs Active Living Strategy, and has been developed in partnership with local agencies and organisations to reduce levels of obesity and ill-health, whilst promoting the positive benefits of leading a physically active lifestyle.
This project compliments the Active Living Strategy and strengthens the aim to get local people more active more often.
Walking groups are an effective intervention in tackling health inequalities. We continue to highlight and promote that walking is for all ages, abilities, genders, has no cost and is ‘both a prevention and a treatment’.
Walk with Martin every Monday 1.00pm - 2.00pm, meet at Your Voice, 12 Clyde Square, Greenock.
FREE Tea /coffees for first time walkers at Cafe FRESH at the end of the walk.
