Inverclyde Recovery Cafe meet every Wednesday and Friday evening from 5.00pm and undertake a range of activities and projects to get involved and promote all aspects of Recovery in Inverclyde.
Alongside recovery assets, we facilitate weekly Café Recovery @ Greenock Prison. Café members have been introduced to the power of example through lived experience shares. This has assisted some to access recovery groups, fellowships and recovery services in the community, and support recovery groups inside other prisons – becoming ‘the power of example’ themselves.
Members have taken ownership of the Café, and actively contribute to the rehabilitation process, to assist a recovery focused transition from prison into the community.
Inverclyde Integrated Alcohol Services – awaiting new time / date slot to engage with broader range of participants.
INVERCLYDE INTEGRATED DRUG SERVICES
Jamie – Recovery Development Worker & local Recovery Assets facilitate a Recovery Café @ Inverclyde Integrated Drug Service (IIDS) every Wednesday 2pm – 4pm. Participants work through the Recovery Workbook / Confidence in Recovery Training / Recovery Conversations / Use Power of Example and share the recovery café model to encourage people to engage with other recovery initiatives whilst in statutory services and more importantly when they move away from services.
Female Recovery Asset – attends IIDS Women’s Group every Wednesday 12-2pm, to share lived experience, using Power of Example and help develop recovery community within the Women’s Recovery Programme
