DJ and COOK | INVERCLYDE RECOVERY CAFE
Nathan has been involved with Inverclyde Recovery for around eighteen months, attending various groups and projects including Weekly Walks, the Recovery Jam, Recovery Cafe and Social Evenings.
During that time he has been very active and has been instrumental in the Recvoery Evening Cook School and Social Evenings, providing music and DJ skills for the evenings.
GOALS, AIMS, OUTCOMES
Nathan has been involved with several groups at Your Voice, and has spoken to packed audiences of his experiences with Mental Health issues at public events at Greenock's Beacon Centre.
He is currently taking part in a project concerned with the appearance of stigma in society, awareness of recovery and options available to people; and his goal is to eventually open a permanent Support Cafe, 5 days a week - using his experience to cook fresh and healthy food in a safe environment for those in recovery.
He is also a keen DJ and regularly spins the turntables at the Inverclyde Recovery Cafe Social Evenings.
