Chronic Pain Workshops

Aniela Piasecka is an artist living with a chronic illness which manifests as chronic pain and fatigue, that developed eight years ago in response to sepsis.

With Inverclyde Culture Collective and Your Voice, Aniela will be organising a series of workshops exploring changing states of the body impacted by chronic conditions. Join us for the sessions, listed below, at Your Voice, 12 Clyde Square, Greenock. We will explore some gentle movement and breathing exercises used to help manage pain and space will be made to share experiences through discussion.

Aniela has been working for ten years in the field of performance with renowned arts institutions in Scotland and across Europe, was an Associate Artist at Dance Base, Scotland’s National Centre for Dance from 2018-2021 and teaches inclusive classes at Dance Base Edinburgh, Kinning Park Glasgow and Artlink Central, working with disabled and non-disabled members of the community.
