Proud2Care - with Clare Haughey

Our inspiring Proud2Care young people had an engaging day yesterday with Clare Haughey our children and Young Peoples Minister and our local panel community.

Our young people used the opportunity to launch their Language Matters film challenging the stigma of language used in their care, and together we all explored what The Promise can look like for Inverclyde.

Our young people asked their adults in attendance to show their commitment to Inverclydes Pledges by placing a handprint onto Inverclydes Stop Go Pledges created together with our care experienced community. It is hoped that this will be displayed as a piece of artwork and as a reminder to the commitment of keeping the promise to our Care Experienced community in Inverclyde.

We want our community to be a place where our care experienced children, young people and their families are supported and are proud of themselves, their achievements and look forward to a future of opportunity, equality and equity.

A great day was had and our young people, as always, shined like the stars that they are!
