RECOVERY OPENS DOORS - Wednesday 31st August

International Overdose Awareness Day - All services taking part will open their doors to public and other stakeholders, and offer taster sessions. Naloxone and training ideally available at all sites. Hoping to develop incentive scheme – e.g. free coffee/wristbands/baking. Scroll down for list of venues!

RECOVERY MONTH 2022 ITINERARY

  • ‘Recovery Stories’ September - All Month

  • Ribbons on Clyde Square Tree - September - All Month
    Ribbons will be available throughout the month for individuals or groups. Ribbons available at Inverclyde Recovery Hub.

  • Stigma Journal
    CVS will place Stigma Journals within events around the community, to document and chronicle people’s experiences. These will be available at sites throughout Recovery Opens Doors and Recovery Month, and are for anyone to add to.

  • Sunday 4th September - Teen Challenge and SFAD CANDLELIT VIGIL 8pm to 9.30pm
    A remembrance vigil to remember those who have been lost to alcohol & drug use.

  • Thursday 8th September - OAK MALL STALLS
    Services will join together to hold small promotional stalls in the Oak Mall.

  • Thursday 15th September - 10.30am ‘Recovery Football Tournament’
    Street Soccer and Jericho. A football tournament, with teams from e.g. Jericho/The Haven/The Hub/Asylum Seekers competing.

  • Wednesday 21st September - Recovery in Port Glasgow
    Small open day featuring some stalls. Salvation Army hall confirmed as venue'.
    Small scale Recovery Walk proposed – Coronation Park or along boardwalk to Parklea.

  • Saturday 24th September - National Recovery Walk
    Paisley - Various Services will be attending the Recovery Walk.

  • Tuesday 27th September 2pm-4pm - Stigma and Kindness Workshop
    Stigma focused workshop from SFAD -Public facing – open to anyone the community - 1 hour about Stigma/ 1 hour about Kindness - Being held at CVS Greenock Room.

  • Friday 30th September - Recovery Art Display
    Your Voice Recovery Hub

  • Jericho Women’s House – Theatre Event (Date / Venue TBC)
