Walking Photography Update

Walking Photography – Next Stop Newark Castle – this Monday, 13 June 2022 

So far, we've visited the Auld West Kirk on the Esplanade and the McLean Museum - with lots of lovely feedback.  We’re so glad everyone is enjoying themselves!

We're looking to hearing from Billy Jenkins, Historic Environment Scotland, about Newark Castle and the notorious Maxwell family - exploring the nooks and crannies of this 1480s medieval castle.  There will be photo opportunities inside the castle, tower and gatehouse - if it's a nice day, there's also the option of wandering along past Fergusons Shipyard to see and photograph the Shipbuilders of Port Glasgow, a 33 ft sculpture by John McKenn - nicknamed the 'Skelpies'.
